This Brussels, Belgium reporter did his homework getting copies of EU documents and discovered a shocking fact. Before the World Cup in Germany last year, all media carried stories quoting human rights activists, victim feminists and government officials worried about some 40,000 women expected to be sex trafficked into Germany to satisfy the sexual needs of the soccer fans.
Turns out only a handful of such women were detected during the games.
Certainly I am not denying that sex trafficking exists and that it is a horrible thing. But how on earth can law enforcement attack the problem if all they ever put out about it is lies and propaganda? How can the public and politicians ever really evaluate which social issues are important and to what degree if the media are pawns of special interest groups whose best career interests lie in grossly exaggerating a problem?http://www.spiked-online.com/index.php?/site/article/2850/
